What is a
charter school?
A charter school is a publicly-funded but independently run K-12 school with a physical location for in-person learning. Charter schools have the freedom to develop unique learning focuses and environments outside of the typical public district school experience to serve students with varying needs and interests.

About us
We exist to inspire, launch and support North Dakota charter school founders.
The Charter School Hub was launched by American Experiment North Dakota to empower charter school founders after the passage of SB2241 that established charter schools in North Dakota. We are the 47th state to offer this tuition-free option to its K-12 students.
We believe every North Dakota child is unique and deserves access to a high-quality education setting that meets their needs.
